Forestry and Arboriculture Apprenticeship Providers

An apprenticeship is a real job, with a salary, which is combined with twenty percent off-the-job training that allows you to earn while you gain a nationally recognised qualification. Apprenticeships vary in length but current Forestry & Arb apprenticeships take typically between 12 – 24 months to complete. While apprenticeships are available to anyone over the age of 16 living in England, there are different entry requirements depending on the sector, job previous achievements, and level of apprenticeship. For the new ‘Trailblazer’ Forest Operative and Arborist apprenticeship standards, Government will fund the cost of the off-the-job training up to 90 per cent in most cases and up to 100 percent in some cases. Employers are expected to pay the apprentice’s salary. For more information on the new standards, click here:
