Small Woodlands Award
RFS Excellence in Forestry Awards 2013, in association with
Forestry Commission (England)
This Award aims to recognise and reward projects where smaller woodlands are managed on a multipurpose basis with clearly stated objectives.
Entries are invited from woodland owners or managers from the private, public or voluntary sectors. This award is aimed principally at the hands-on owner and therefore it is expected that the day-to-day management will be done by the owner, or under their direct guidance.
Woodlands may be recent or old but must have been established for at least 10 years and of a maximum size of 20 hectares.
The award will be made annually in England, Wales or Northern Ireland. Judging will take place on a regional basis.
