RFS Silky Fox Handsaws Award - Overview
The RFS Silky Fox Handsaws Award supports students on practical forestry and arboriculture courses right at the start of their careers by rewarding those students who have stood out.
The award is given for the best student or the student showing most endeavour on their course of study and the prize is a Gomtaro Silky Handsaw and a year’s membership to the RFS.
The initiative recognises the increasing value of further education training programmes in forestry and arboriculture across the UK in developing our tree experts of the future. The courses are consistently delivering the essential skills needed to launch careers in tree care and woodland management with many colleges boasting excellent employment rates.
The award recognises the excellent work being carried out by colleges and rewards those students who have gone that extra mile in their learning.
The RFS is delighted to be working in partnership with Silky Fox Handsaws for this special education initiative.
