Tree Diseases: April 2010
The latest in our series of annual conferences will be held on Wednesday 21 April 2010 at the National Agricultural Centre, Stoneleigh, Warwickshire
The theme of the conference is: Tree diseases.
Organised by the Royal Forestry Society, the Royal Agricultural Society of England, and in association with the Forestry Commission, this latest series of popular one-day conferences for woodland owners and managers examines the impacts of tree diseases on UK amenity trees, oak woodlands and landscapes.
The morning session concentrates on new threats to native oaks and horse chestnuts – while not forgetting Red Band Needle Blight and Sudden Oak Death.
Speakers will also consider the wider conservation, economic and societal implications of epidemics in trees and how we might tackle these outbreaks.
After lunch, a series of short, sharp case studies follow with a plenary session to round off the day.
