Awards for exceptional forestry students.

Exceptional students in England and Wales have been rewarded for their dedication thanks to Royal Forestry Society Divisions.

Those presented with awards were:

Eloise Balcombe, winner of the 2016 Morley Penistan Award, after being named top student in the Forestry and Woodland Management Elective Module at the Royal Agricultural University. The award was presented by the RFS Gloucestershire Division.

Nathan Dunn
 who received a North Wales Division Award as Coleg Cambria’s top forestry and arb student 2016. Nathan was unable to attend his presentation.

Joseph Gillard, winner of the Alec Pyman Award from the RFS North Western Division. The Award recognises the student who achieves the highest grade while studying on the Forestry Foundation Degree at the National School of Forestry, University of Cumbria.

Robert Turner received the RFS Bangor University Bursary from the North Wales Division

Jonathan Ward from Coleg Meirion Dwyfor Glynllifon received an RFS Shield from North Wales Division

Ryan Warman who received the Prees Heath Forest Nurseries award from the RFS North West Midlands Division. The award recognises the highest overall grade on the Woodland Management or Woodland and Field Sports Management modules at Harper Adams University, Shropshire.
