Excellence in Forestry 2010

The Excellence in Forestry Awards, run by the Royal Forestry Society (RFS), are the country’s premier forestry awards. In 2010 they are open to woodland owners, farmers, schools and community groups across the South East and in all London boroughs south of the River Thames. The prizes will be presented at one of the premier events in the woodland calendar; the Bentley Weald Woodfair in September.
There are five Excellence in Forestry classes:
- Duke of Cornwall Multi-purpose Woodlands
- RFS Silviculture
- Community Woodlands
- Farm Woodlands
- Schools Award
The awards are now in their second year. They rotate around England, Wales and Northern Ireland on a seven-year cycle celebrating the best of British forestry, woodland skills and woodland knowledge in both private or public ownership, on farms or run by community organisations.
