One Day Training

Our one day training course programme for 2021 will be announced shortly!

These in-person courses are designed to meet the needs of new and novice woodland owners and those wishing to further develop their knowledge and skills in many aspects of forestry.

COVID-19 sadly resulted in the cancellation of our in-person training courses in 2020, apart from the course below which went ahead successfully with COVID precautions in place:

Woodland archaeology - banks and pits! - Friday 02 October

Courses listed below were originally planned for 2020 and will hopefully now take place in 2021.  Details of next year's programme will be released at the end of this year.  We're also developing an expanding programme of online courses, information about which you can find here.  If you have queries about RFS training in general, please email us at
